If the liner is collapsed, the switch is dead, or the cable jacket is cracked at the strain relief, a new torch costs little more than the parts and saves the troubleshooting time.
How do I stop spatter from building up in the nozzle?
Dip the nozzle in anti-spatter spray or gel every few welds and knock the crust out with a nozzle reamer. Built-up spatter blocks gas flow and causes porosity.
