SSimder MIG-140S Gasless 3 in 1 MIG Welder

A 140A gasless MIG welder that runs without a gas cylinder — flux core out of the box, stick welding built in, and Lift TIG with the optional WP17V torch.
Self-shielded flux core wire means no tank to buy, fill, or haul — plug in, feed, and weld. Stick mode with adjustable current takes on thick, rusty, painted steel. At 17.6 lb, it moves from the garage bench to the fence line without a dolly.
Three Modes. One 17.6 lb Machine.
Every mode below lives on the same 140A power source. Switch the leads or the wire, keep working.
Flux core MIG
No gas tank
Self-shielded 0.8 / 1.0 mm flux core wire feeds through the 14AK torch — a 0.5 lb starter spool is in the box. Outdoor work, windy days, thin sheet: no cylinder required.
Stick welding
Thick & rusty steel
Swap to the electrode holder for trailer hitches, implement repairs, and painted stock that a MIG arc would struggle on. Simple current dial, honest arc.
Lift TIG
With the optional WP17V
Add the WP17V TIG torch (sold separately) for Lift-TIG starts on stainless and carbon steel. It runs standard WP17-series consumables.

Built for
- ✓First-time welders — flux core out of the box, one dial, forgiving arc.
- ✓Fence, gate & trailer repair — self-shielded wire shrugs off wind and outdoor work.
- ✓Portable setups — 17.6 lb machine, runs on household 110V.
- ✓Budget builds — the lowest-cost way into real MIG-style welding.
Not built for
- ✕Aluminum welding — flux core cannot feed aluminum. Pulse MIG aluminum lives in the SD-4050 Pro.
- ✕Solid-wire gas MIG — this model runs flux core only; the MIG-140 Pro adds gas-shielded MIG.
- ✕Continuous heavy plate — 140A is prosumer territory, not production-line duty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the MIG-140S weld aluminum?
No — this model runs self-shielded flux core wire only, which is steel-family wire. Aluminum needs Pulse MIG; that capability lives in the SD-4050 Pro, which welds aluminum without a spool gun.
Is the TIG torch included?
No — Lift TIG works with the optional WP17V torch, sold separately. It uses standard WP17-series consumables, and there is a bundle variant with the torch included if you want everything in one order.
What wire does it use?
Self-shielded flux core, 0.8 mm or 1.0 mm, on 0.5–2 lb spools. A 0.5 lb starter spool ships in the box. No gas cylinder is needed or used.
Will it run on 110V household power?
Yes — the machine accepts 110V or 220V input, so the same unit works in a home garage and on a 220V shop circuit.
How is the 3-in-1 different from the 5-in-1 Pulse?
Both share the same 140A flux-core platform. The 5-in-1 adds Pulse mode and SPOT tack welding (MIG mode) on top of flux MIG / Lift TIG / Stick. If you weld thin sheet or tack panels, the Pulse model is worth the step; otherwise the 3-in-1 is the value pick.
What warranty does it carry?
Every SSimder welder carries a 3-year warranty — the same policy across the line, spelled out on our warranty policy page.
