A 160A 6-in-1 welder and plasma cutter that welds and cuts for $299 — gas MIG, flux core, Lift TIG, stick, and 40A plasma cutting in one box.
One MIG-250 replaces a MIG welder, a TIG welder, a stick welder, and a plasma cutter. SYN one-knob mode gets beginners laying beads in minutes; Manual mode gives experienced welders full control. It runs on standard 110V household power or 220V for full output. It welds steel, stainless, and cast iron — it is not rated for aluminum.
Six Processes. One Machine.
Every process below runs on the same 160A power source. Switch the torch, pick the mode, keep working.
Gas MIG
160A · Solid Wire
Solid steel wire with CO2/argon shielding gas lays clean, low-spatter beads on mild steel — the everyday workhorse mode.
Flux Core
Gas-Free · Outdoor Ready
Self-shielded flux core burns through light rust and paint on fences, trailers, and farm gear — no gas bottle to buy or haul.
Lift TIG
DC · Precision Beads
Lift-arc TIG gives you a steady, controllable puddle for precise beads on steel and stainless.
Stick (MMA)
Hot Start · Field Repairs
A forceful arc digs into rusty, painted, or thick stock — the fix-anything mode when you are out in the field.
Plasma Cut
40A · Narrow Kerf
Plasma arc slices through mild steel and stainless plate with a narrow kerf — quick cuts, minimal cleanup.

Built for
- ✓Home garage DIY — welding and cutting in one box under $300, no separate tool purchases.
- ✓Farm & ranch repair — stick for rusty thick steel, flux core for outdoor wind.
- ✓Beginners — SYN one-knob mode auto-matches settings; 2T/4T steadies long beads.
- ✓Fabrication on a budget — cut brackets and sheet with the 40A plasma torch, then weld them.
Not built for
- ✕Aluminum, any thickness — not rated for aluminum welding, even with the optional spool gun. For aluminum choose the SD-4050 Pro (Pulse MIG) or TIG-250AC.
- ✕HF TIG precision start — this is a Lift TIG machine; there is no high-frequency starter.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in the box?
15AK MIG welding gun, WP17 TIG torch, PT31 plasma cutting torch, stick electrode holder, ground clamp, 2 feed rollers (gas MIG / flux core), gas hose, CUT air divider, 220V conversion cord (US/CA), and the user manual.
What metals can it weld?
Mixed Gas MIG welds stainless, carbon steel, low-alloy steel, and copper. CO₂ and flux core handle carbon steel and low-alloy steel (flux core also handles thin sheet). Lift TIG welds stainless, titanium, carbon steel, alloy steel, and copper. Stick welds thick plate, carbon steel, low-alloy steel, and cast iron.
Can it weld aluminum?
No — the MIG-250 cannot weld aluminum, even with the optional spool gun. It is built for steel, stainless, and titanium. For aluminum, choose Pulse MIG models like the SSimder SD-4050 Pro or the SSimder TIG-250AC.
Does it run on 110V or 220V?
Both. Dual 110V/220V input means it works on household outlets and shop circuits. Plug into 220V for full 160A output; on 110V output is reduced, which is fine for most home-garage work.
Is it good for beginners?
Yes. SYN one-knob mode auto-matches the settings, and 2T/4T make steady beads easier to learn. Manual mode and Lift TIG leave room to grow into more advanced work.
What is SYN one-knob mode?
SYN mode auto-matches current, voltage, and wire feed to one dial. You set the power level and the machine handles the rest — ideal for first-time welders. Switch to Manual mode for full hands-on control.
Does it support a spool gun?
Yes — an optional spool gun is supported for smoother wire feeding on soft wires. But note: even with the spool gun attached, the MIG-250 is not rated for aluminum welding. If you need aluminum, the SD-4050 Pro welds it with Pulse MIG, no spool gun required.
How does it compare on value?
At $299, the MIG-250 delivers the same 6-in-1 welding-and-cutting coverage as premium combos like the YesWelder MCT-520 ($699), trading a higher amp ceiling and HF TIG for a budget-friendly price. You get MIG, TIG, stick, and plasma cutting in one machine without the premium cost.
